Welcome to the Brookings Harbor Nonprofit Coop!

Scott Clapson and I had a very productive phone conversation this evening about the Wild Rivers Community Foundation's monthly non-profit meeting, and we agreed there is a great deal of potential for growth by also spinning off to establish a local group. We talked about whether changing the time of the meeting would make a difference in getting more non-profits leaders involved, and so this site was born.

Our goal is to enable local nonprofits to collaborate on helping the local non-profit community reach its highest potential, developing and supporting the resources that are available, and even possibly offering some helpful advice on how to overcome the glitches in starting and running a non-profit organization.

Some of the ways we can grow is to offer local non-profit leaders the opportunity to speak and share their expertise, or to talk about their programs and exempt purposes, networking during events, to bring in local business people, such as attorneys and accountants, to speak about compliance issues, creating a newsletter to let the public know more about us...

The list is endless, and the potential is here for unlimited growth.

Scott and I would like to invite you to share in the making the local non-profit community the best it can be.
